- Tien Giang, VietnamAs part of MOICA ESG Living Labs, Mekonglink collaborated with local communities, experts, and universities to address serious environmental challenges such as riverbank erosion, landslides, and saline intrusion in Tien Giang Province. These issues have long threatened local infrastructure, agriculture, and livelihoods. To combat these challenges, Mekonglink suggests sustainable solutions, including the use of vegetation mats for riverbank erosion management. This innovative technology, provided by a Korean solution provider, involves a biodegradable vegetation mat made from PLA nonwoven fabric that promotes plant growth on riverbanks. By spreading seeds on the ground and using this eco-friendly fabric, the mat stimulates germination while reducing soil runoff and stabilizing slopes. By combining this technology with other nature-based solutions, such as planting mangroves and using cork trees and bamboo to stabilize slopes, Mekonglink has helped local communities in Tien Giang build long-term protection against environmental threats. These efforts empower farmers and local businesses to preserve their land, ensuring both environmental and economic sustainability.
- TechBiz Matching in Thailand
